In honor of Veterans Day, METRO will provide free rides for veterans and active service members on Saturday, Nov. 11. The offer includes local bus, METRORail, METRORapid, curb2curb and METROLift services.
To ride, passengers need to inform the bus operator and/or fare inspector of their veteran or military designation.
METROLift customers will need to schedule trips in advance by calling the reservation line at 713-225-6716. Enrolled METROLift patrons may also schedule a trip the day before travel by using METROLift’s Automated Computer System (MACS).

METRO offers disabled and decorated veterans free unlimited rides on local bus, curb2curb service, METRORail, METRORapid and METRO's Park & Ride through the Qualified METRO Veterans Pass (MVP) card. Veterans interested in applying can download the application here.

The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) is the region’s largest public transit provider, offering safe, clean, reliable, accessible and friendly transportation services.
