 METRO is ready to welcome a sea of orange and blue as Houston Astros fans head downtown for the American League Championship Series (ALCS) home opener tonight. One of the most economical and hassle-free ways to get to Minute Maid Park is on METRO. With several local bus routes and METRORail stations located just a short walk from the ballpark, riding METRO means fans can avoid the frustration of traffic congestion and high-priced parking.
Regular fare costs $1.25 and is valid for three hours. Local Day Passes, which offer unlimited local bus and rail service for 24 hours, are also available for $3. Children five and under ride free.
Customers can purchase mobile tickets and plan their trip by downloading the RideMETRO app to their smartphone.
- Mobile tickets may be purchased by credit card with the "Pay Your Fare" option. Up to 20 tickets may be purchased for family and friends.
- To plan a trip, choose the "Plan Your Trip" option. Enter the starting location and use "Minute Maid Park" as the destination. METRO's Trip Planner will provide a simple step-by-step itinerary.
