Calculate the Savings When You Ride METRO

Residents across the region can drive less and save more by riding METRO.

While gas prices continue to increase, local bus, METRORail and METRORapid trips remain just $1.25.

METRO’s website and mobile apps have several tools to help riders get started:

• Using the METRO Savings Calculator at rideMETRO.org, customers can see how much money they’d save each month by using public transportation instead of driving. Users only need to provide the number of days they commute, their commute and any additional parking costs. Many will find they can easily save hundreds of dollars per month and avoid the stress of driving simply by using METRO.

• On METRO's homepage, customers will also find METRO's trip planner where they can get step-by-step directions along with a fare total.
• Track their bus stop in real time by using Next Bus Arrival Texting or by using the METRO Trip mobile app.
• There are multiple ways to pay for METRO’s services. Riders can get a METRO Q Fare Card, a Day Pass or get contactless fare using the Q Ticketing mobile app. Cash is also accepted, and ticketing machines are available on rail platforms.
