Committed to Clean, Safe Rides

METRO's Board continues its commitment to offer the public cleaner, safer rides. In a unanimous vote today, the Board approved a cleaning contract and the installation of fiberglass seat inserts on light rail vehicles. Both actions will help enhance cleanliness on METRORail trains and extend enhanced cleaning protocols the Authority put into practice earlier this year in response to COVID-19. In addition to overnight deep cleaning and fogging of surfaces, METRO vehicles are also cleaned during the day while they are in service. 

METRO continues to request the public's help in slowing the spread of COVID-19. All METRO riders, employees, contractors and visitors are required to wear a face covering, unless prevented by a medical condition. Additionally, customers are asked to try to maintain social distance while riding and only use METRO for essential travel. Click here or image to learn why we Mask Up at METRO.
