Beginning Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, METRORail service will be modified to allow crews to complete repairs on overhead electrical wires. In addition, METRORail's Hermann Park/Rice U station will close for reconstruction as part of a project to improve bike and pedestrian safety in the area.
Temporary adjustments to rail service will take place on:

Nov. 8-10 and Nov. 15-17: Beginning on Friday evenings at 9 p.m. through the end of service the following Sunday, free two-way bus shuttles will be provided along the Red Line between Northline and Fannin South stations.

Nov. 8-17: Hermann Park/Rice U Station will close for reconstruction and trains will bypass the station. Riders will need to use Museum District or Hermann Memorial Hospital/Houston Zoo stations during this time.

Nov. 9: Beginning on Saturday evening at 11 p.m. through the end of service, free two-way bus shuttles will be provided along the Green and Purple lines between Theater District and EADO/Stadium stations.

Nov. 11-14: Beginning at 9 p.m. through the end of service each night, free two-way bus shuttles will be provided along the Red Line between Northline and Burnett/Casa de Amigos stations.
During these periods, shuttles will run every 10 minutes or better to provide uninterrupted service for customers – a list of shuttle stops can be found here. METRO will also have personnel directing and assisting riders at each rail platform where shuttle service is being offered.
METRO's TRIP App and Next Bus Arrival Texting service may not reflect accurate departure and arrival information during this time. Bus service also requires additional travel time, so allow more time for your trip. Please monitor METRO's Twitter and Facebook pages for timely updates. METRO also offers real-time information through its service alerts system.
