Free Rides to Polls

METRO is offering free rides to Houston area polling locations for primary runoff elections. Voters can ride at no charge on METRORail, local buses, and METROLift paratransit services.

Free transportation will be available: 

  • Early Voting, Friday, May 18, 2018 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Election Day, Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

Voters should inform bus operators or fare inspectors they are going to or returning from the polls in order to receive the free rides.
