The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) is the region’s largest public transit provider, offering safe, reliable and affordable transportation services about 370,000 times per day. Utility Work Prompts Single-Track Service Along METRORail Red Line
Beginning Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, METRO will modify rail service on the Red Line in order to allow Centerpoint Energy work crews to install utility poles along the trackway at San Jacinto and Calumet.
METRO will operate single-track service along a limited section the Red Line during this time. METRORail northbound and southbound service will run from the southbound platform at Museum District Station.
Single-track service will begin Saturday, Jan. 27, at 10 p.m., ending Sunday, Jan. 28 at 7 a.m. Frequency during this period will be 18 minutes.
Riders are encouraged to monitor METRO's Twitter and Facebook pages for timely information regarding transit. METRO also offers real-time information through its service alerts system.
