Downtown Construction Prompts Temporary Bus Shuttle Along Green & Purple Lines


Beginning Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, METRO will modify rail service on the Green and Purple Lines in order to allow downtown work crews to complete crane lift operations at 708 Main St.

During these periods, METRO will operate free bus shuttles along the Green Line from Magnolia Transit Center Station to Theater District Station and along the Purple Line from EADO Station to Theater District Station.

Patrons traveling between these points will board shuttle buses at designated stops (click here for details). Bus shuttles will operate on the following dates:

  • Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 from 4:30 a.m. until 7 p.m.
  • Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018 from 4:30 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Frequency during these times will be 12 minutes. Please allow more time for your trip.

Riders are encouraged to monitor METRO's Twitter and Facebook pages for timely information regarding transit. METRO also offers real-time information through its service alerts system.
