Reducing cancer risks among firefighters

According to the National Cancer Institute, about 39% of people in the U.S. will get some form of cancer during their lifetime. Based on findings from the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, firefighters are 9% more likely to get cancer and 14% more likely to die of cancer-related causes than the general public. These tips can reduce the risks.

Low-Cost OSHA 30-Hour Construction Classes

Low-cost OSHA 30-hour construction classes

DWC offers both in-person training and online video training. Those who complete the course receive an OSHA 30-Hour Construction course completion card within eight weeks. 

  • You must be a Texas resident or an employee currently working in Texas to register. 
  • To attend, you must understand and communicate in the language of the course.
  • Online classes are Central Time Zone and both weeks are required.
