Beginning in May 2023, the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) will post third-party evaluation reports for building products to the TDI website.
TDI will post reports from the following sources:
- Product evaluation reports developed by and listed with product certification agencies accredited as complying with ISO/IEC Standard 17025 by the International Accreditation Service (IAS) or by any other accreditation body recognized by the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA).
- Notice of acceptance (NOA) reports developed by and listed with the Miami-Dade County Product Control Section.
- Product approvals listed with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR).
TDI will list third-party evaluation reports only for products that fall into the product types listed on its evaluation report webpage.
The products must be complete assemblies. Evaluation reports for fasteners or parts that make up “assemblies” or “subassemblies” will not be posted.
TDI will not develop an evaluation report for products with a third-party evaluation report from one of the above-listed sources.
