Lasers have revolutionized the medical, manufacturing, construction, and electronics industries. However, lasers create an eye injury risk. These tips can help employers reduce hazards and prevent laser eye injuries in the workplace.
 Central Texas Construction Safety Summit
The 5th Annual Central Texas Construction Safety Summit will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at the J.J. Pickle Research Campus in Austin, Texas. The event is hosted by the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) Central Texas Chapter Construction Practice Specialty Group and OSHA.
Registration is now open:
- ASSP member registration: $119.00 ($99.00 if registered by August 30, 2022)
- Non-member registration: $139.00 ($119.00 if registered by August 30, 2022)
- Student registration: $30.00
 Free OSHA 10-Hour Construction Classes
DWC offers in-person training in both English and Spanish. Those who complete the course receive an OSHA 10-Hour Construction course completion card within eight weeks.
- You must be a Texas resident or an employee currently working in Texas to register.
- To attend, the student must understand and communicate in the language of the course.
- All classes start at 8:00 a.m.
