Protecting Workers from Indoor and Outdoor Heat Hazards

Protecting Workers from Indoor and Outdoor Heat Hazards

For the first time, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has launched a National Emphasis Program to protect workers from heat illness, injury, and death. Through the program, OSHA compliance specialists will now conduct indoor and outdoor heat-related workplace inspections. The new enforcement efforts will be carried out in over 70 high-risk industries when the heat index is 80° F or higher. These tips can help companies comply with OSHA standards and prevent work-related heat incidents.
