OSHA Regional Program Seeks to Protect Workers from Confined Space Hazards
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in the Dallas Region has conducted 136 inspections and investigated 36 worker deaths in the transportation and tank cleaning industry since 2016. OSHA has announced a regional program to increase awareness of the hazards of failing to follow confined space entry permit requirements. These tips can help protect workers from inhaling harmful substances in confined spaces.

OSHCON consultations are both free and confidential. They are offered:

- by video conferencing;
- by email;
- by text; and
- by phone.
We can help you find, reduce, and remove safety and health hazards, and understand OSHA standards.
OSHCON also provides:

Low-Cost OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Class
This class covers OSHA general industry standards and requirements and safety awareness to help employees find and reduce job site hazards.
- In-person training and online video training.
- You must be a Texas resident or an employee currently working in Texas to register.
- The student must understand and communicate in the language of the course.
- Participants receive an OSHA 10-Hour General Industry card within eight weeks after course completion.
