DWC has published new Appeals Panel decisions (APDs) that address some impairment ratings and the importance of consistent documentation.
APD 211091-s
This decision addresses combining impairments in the lower extremity, including impairments within a joint. This APD overrules previous APD 110741 to the degree that it supports that lower extremity impairments could be added within a joint.
APD 211351
This decision addresses that consistency is required between an impairment rating documented on a DWC Form-069, Report of Medical Evaluation (DWC Form-069) and the narrative report. In this case, the narrative indicated a 0% impairment, and the DWC Form-069 indicated no permanent impairment.
