TDI adopts rules related to the consumer bills of rights

The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) adopted rules amending the consumer bills of rights for homeowners, renters, and auto insurance. The Office of Public Insurance Counsel proposed changes to the consumer bills of rights and petitioned TDI to adopt them. All insurers must begin providing the new bills of rights to consumers by November 15, 2021. Visit the TDI website for a copy of the adoption order.
