 National Mesothelioma Awareness Day
Mesothelioma is an aggressive form of cancer linked to inhaling asbestos fibers. More than 1.3 million American workers come into contact with this toxic mineral each year. In 2010, Congress established National Mesothelioma Awareness Day on September 26 to educate workers on the dangers. This information, along with OSHA-authorized training, helps workers at risk of asbestos exposure remain healthy and safe.
