Coastal building codes to change September 1

Starting September 1, Windstorm Certificate of Compliance applications (WPI-1) must be certified using one of the following:

  • The 2018 International Building Code (IBC)
  • The 2018 International Residential Code (IRC)

WPI-1’s received before September 1, 2020, can be certified using either the 2006 (with Texas Revisions) or 2018 IBC or IRC codes.
