 Safe + Sound Week, August 10-16, 2020
Each August, OSHA leads Safe + Sound Week, a nationwide event to raise awareness and understanding of the value of safety and health programs in the workplace. This year’s campaign encourages employers to commit to safety through management leadership, worker participation, and a systemic approach to finding and fixing hazards. The following tips can help organizations develop or expand their safety and health programs to help protect employees from workplace hazards.
 Free Online Safety Consultations
The Texas OSHA Consultation Program (OSHCON) is now providing online consultations. Our OSHCON consultants are available by video conferencing, email, text, or phone. We can help you find, reduce, and remove safety and health hazards, and understand OSHA standards.
OSHCON also provides:

 New COVID-19 Resources
OSHA has a new poster (in PDF) to keep meat packing, poultry, and pork workers safe during the coronavirus pandemic. The poster is available in English, Spanish, and 15 other languages.
OSHA is also offering guidance for oil and gas industry workers and employers.
