The Division of Workers’ Compensation recognizes four Texas companies for exemplary workplace safety programs and low rates of work-related injuries and illnesses by awarding them Lone Star Safety Awards.
 Universal Pegasus International in Houston and Nissei Plastic Machinery America Inc. in San Antonio have earned Lone Star Safety Awards.
 East Texas Lighthouse for the Blind in Tyler and Tatum Excavating in Texarkana have had their Lone Star Safety Awards renewed.
