Deadline approaching to report Harvey claims

As the anniversary of Hurricane Harvey approaches, the Texas Department of Insurance is reminding Texans that some insurance policies have a one-year deadline to file claims.

Harvey made landfall August 25. Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA) claims must be reported by the one-year anniversary of the date the damage occurred unless the policyholder can show good cause for the delay. Read more
