2016 Fatal Occupational Injuries in Texas

In 2016, there were 545 fatal occupational injuries in Texas, a three percent increase from 527 in 2015, according to data from the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries (CFOI). Nationally, there were 5,190 fatal occupational injuries. The rate of fatal occupational injuries in Texas was 4.4 per 100,000 full-time employees in 2016.
