DWC offers grace period for workers’ compensation reporting

Texas employers that do not provide workers’ compensation insurance must submit two types of forms to the Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC). DWC is offering a temporary grace period to those employers who have not met reporting requirements in the past—allowing them to report between February 1 and April 30 without any penalties.

DWC encourages employers to take advantage of this limited-time grace period. Employers who fail to file these forms on time may be subject to penalties, according to Texas Labor Code, Sections 406.004, 406.007, 415.021 and 28 Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 110 and Chapter 160. More information is available on the TDI website.
