 Spring Clean-Up Day

The City of Hurst invites you to our Spring Clean-Up Day at The Coffee Shop, at 420 West Pipeline Road. Let’s come together to pick up litter and give this prime area of Hurst the attention and care it deserves.
All supplies will be provided by the City, just bring your helping hands! We will meet at The Coffee Shop parking lot to sign in, grab supplies, and get started. This is a great opportunity for families, friends, and neighbors to work side by side and make a visible impact in just a couple of hours. We can’t wait to see you there!
 Household Hazardous Waste Event
April 11 | 8-11 a.m. Hurst Service Center 2001 Precinct Line Rd. Hurst, TX 76054
Don't miss out on our Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event! Drop off your hazardous waste at the Service Center from 8-11 a.m. Remember to bring your ID and Hurst water bill!
Accepted Items: Automotive fluids (10 gallon limit), batteries, cleaners & degreasers, cooking oil, lawn/garden/pool chemicals, light bulbs, paint (limit of 3 five-gallon containers)
Not Accepted: Ammunition or explosives, appliances or electronics, building materials, bulk trash and yard waste, butane or propane cylinders, medicines or sharps, tires
Let's keep our community safe and clean! Proper disposal matters.
 Extra Bulk Collection Days
We have coordinated with Republic Services to offer additional curbside collection:
- Saturday, April 4 (for those with Monday & Thursday garbage service); and - Saturday, April 11 (for those with Tuesday & Friday garbage service.)
You can leave your bulky or green waste items at your curb, just make sure that loose items are bundled or containerized. Place your items for pickup by 7 a.m.
ACCEPTED ITEMS: Any non-hazardous bulk items such as scrap metal, containerized brush, old fencing material or other debris (no commercial), electronic equipment including computers, TVs, DVD players and cell phones NOT ACCEPTED: Tires & explosives, construction materials such as shingles and sheet rock, no more than six (6) fence panels will be accepted unless a fence permit is shown for the address, compressed gas, pharmaceuticals or sharps
 Good Friday Holiday Closure
Non-emergency city facilities will be closed in observance of the Good Friday holiday on Friday, April 3. Trash and recycling are unaffected by this holiday.
The Hurst Recreation Center and Hurst Tennis & Pickleball Center will be open during normal operating hours.
- Hurst Recreation Center: 5:30 a.m.–5 p.m.
- Hurst Tennis & Pickleball Center: 8:30 a.m.–1 p.m.
 Business & Health Expo

The Hurst Senior Activities Center is pleased to host the annual Business and Health Expo event for the senior adult community. Stop by and connect with local businesses and service providers to get the resources you need! There is no registration required, and this event is open to the public.
 Eggstravaganza

The annual City of Hurst Eggstravaganza is on Thursday, March 26, at Hurst Athletic Complex. Enjoy a FREE petting zoo, photos with Mr. Bunny, a tattoo booth, crafts, pony rides, and egg hunts! Food is available for purchase from one of our tasty vendors.

 Sensory-Friendly Egg Hunt

Join us for a FREE, sensory-friendly event thoughtfully designed for children with sensory needs and their families. We will have a petting zoo, crafts, sensory stations, free Kona Ice, photos with Mr. Bunny, egg hunts, and more!

 Once a Prom a Closet

The Hurst, Euless, and Bedford Libraries have joined forces to ensure that all teens have access to formal wear for prom. Browse a variety of formal wear, including dresses, shoes, accessories, and a limited number of suits (no tuxedos), all free to help you get prom-ready. Register for free at hursttx.gov/hplsignup.
 Pop-Up Egg Hunts
Get ready for an egg-citing adventure! Colorful, candy-filled eggs will pop up at three parks across Hurst on select evenings. Bring your own basket, look for the blue Hurst Parks and Recreation banner, and arrive on time to join the fun. Eggs are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, so be ready to hunt and share the excitement with others!

March 31, April 1, and April 2 at 6 p.m.

 Family Fun Night: Teddy Bear Picnic

Bring your teddy, grab a blanket, and join us for a picnic packed with treats, crafts, and cuddly fun! A perfect night for little bears and their humans.
 Forever My Little Man: A Mother and Son Night to Remember
April 18 | 4:30–6:30 p.m. Hurst Recreation Center 700 Mary Dr. Hurst, TX 76053
This is a special evening designed for mothers and sons to enjoy quality time together! The evening will include a classy dinner, an ice cream sundae bar, and a special moment where sons will serve their mothers with staff assistance. Families can dress in their Sunday best or wear comfortable play clothes for activities.
Tickets are required for entry and are now available for purchase online.
One $45 ticket includes admission for one mother and one son, with the option to add an additional son for $25.
