Reminder: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services to Host Three Deaf Awareness Month Webinars

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (DHHS) will celebrate Deaf Awareness Month in September by featuring three webinars centered on the theme, “Collaboration Leads to Success.” Each session will highlight how HHSC Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services, Texas School for the Deaf, and the Statewide Outreach Center work together to support Texans who are deaf and hard of hearing.

American Sign Language interpreters and CART services will be provided for each webinar.

Certificates of Attendance will be awarded to attendees, which can be used for continuing education documentation. This workshop offers 0.05 DHHS continuing education units.

Week 1: Texas School for the Deaf | Sept. 9, 2026, 1-2 p.m.

Week 2: Statewide Outreach Center | Sept. 23, 2026, 1-2 p.m.

Week 3: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services | Sept. 30, 2026, 1-2 p.m.
