TVFC Program – Update on GSK’s Menveo Vaccine

Texas Vaccines for Children (TVFC) providers,
Vaccine Manufacturer GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is releasing a 1-vial presentation of Menveo® Meningococcal Conjugate (Groups A, C, Y and W-135) vaccine. The new presentation does not require reconstitution and has a different age indication from the existing presentation.
TVFC program providers may begin ordering the new 1-vial presentation in the Vaccine Allocation and Ordering System (VAOS) beginning Friday, September 1, 2023.

Prior to ordering the new 1-vial presentation of Menveo, providers are required to update their Vaccine Choice in VAOS. Providers must update their Vaccine Choice in VAOS prior to ordering the new 1-vial presentation of Menveo. To update Vaccine Choice, follow the steps below
- On the Order Screen, select name of the facility from the drop-down menu, verify the required conditions, list out-of-office dates (if applicable), and click next at the bottom of the screen
- Click Update Choice. Select the presentation. Click submit.
- Navigate back to the Order Screen. Enter the quantity requested for the vaccine (list a Reason for Deviation if the quantity requested is greater than the suggested quantity). Click Review Order, and then click Submit to complete the Vaccine Order.
Beginning Friday, September 1, 2023, there will be limited availability of the current 2-vial presentation. The 2-vial presentation will be prioritized for children aged 2 months through 2 years of age.
