HHSC Publishes Guidance on COVID-19 Vaccine Authority for HCSSA and Hospice Providers (PL 2021-24)

HHSC Long-term Care Regulation has published Provider Letter 2021-24, HCSSA COVID-19 Vaccination Authority for Home Health and Hospice Agencies (PDF). The letter clarifies that the authority granted by legislation applies only to HCSSAs licensed to provide home health and hospice services. Agencies with only a PAS license are not authorized to provide COVID-19 vaccinations.
