HHSC Employees,
On Wednesday, April 14, and Thursday, April 15, from 8 a.m.–5 p.m., the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) is conducting a no-cost COVID-19 vaccination event for all interested HHSC employees, contractors and their family members in the Austin area.
Who is Eligible
All HHSC employees, contractors and their family members who are 18 and older are eligible to receive the vaccine during this event. The Moderna vaccine will be administered.

When you arrive, use the south entrance and have your state-issued ID badge with you. Family members must present ID or the appointment QR code, which will be emailed to them after they register.
Registration Required
Participants must first register and schedule an appointment using the online Texas Public Health Vaccine Scheduler (TPHVS).

If you are already registered with the TPHVS, schedule your appointment by calling the Vaccine Support Center at 833-832-7067 from 7 a.m.–7 p.m., seven days a week.
You will receive an email confirmation with event details and a QR code. You can view appointment details by logging in to your TPHVS account.

Rescheduling/Canceling
If you need to reschedule your appointment, call the Vaccine Support Center at 833-832-7067 or log in to your TPHVS account. Then follow the appointment cancellation prompts.
After Your Vaccination
Register with V-SAFE, a smartphone-based, after-vaccination health checker. V-SAFE is a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention system that uses text messaging and web surveys to check in with vaccine recipients for possible side effects following COVID-19 vaccination. V-SAFE follows up with anyone who reports medically significant side effects.
Second Dose
If you are receiving your first dose during the clinic you will automatically be scheduled for your second-dose appointment. You will be notified of the appointment time using your preferred contact method (email or text).
