GL 20-1011-A Emergency Hospital Off-Site Facilities in Response to COVID-19 (Amended)

GL 20-1011-A regarding the passage of emergency rules for hospital off-site facilities in response to COVID-19 has been posted. This amended letter explains the emergency rule allowing HHSC to temporarily waive the requirement mandating an off-site facility be licensed or open within the past 36 months to be eligible as an off-site facility. The hospital applying to use the off-site facility must provide satisfactory evidence to illustrate that such a waiver will not detrimentally affect the health or safety of patients, hospital staff, or the public.
