Dear Colleagues,
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board recently debuted My Texas Future. We’re excited to have you try it out and explore how it can help you.
For students, My Texas Future personalizes the post-secondary planning experience while providing a clear path to good job opportunities, through practical information like real-world earnings and regional in-demand jobs.
For institutions, My Texas Future provides a recruiting pipeline for interested and qualified prospective students. This is due to a unique feature enabling students to connect directly with an advisor at the institutions they’ve vetted and have interest in. To take advantage of this feature, you must become an institutional partner with the THECB so we can share student information with you. To learn more about how your institution can start connecting with adult learners through My Texas Future, please complete this form and we will reach out to you. We also recommend forwarding this email to your enrollment management team.
The current release of My Texas Future is designed for working-aged Texans. Future releases of the tool will make it the go-to source for college planning for all students, including secondary students and transfer students. Our future plans include integrating ApplyTexas into My Texas Future and adding an interactive feature that enables students to explore how their current or planned courses will transfer and apply to various degree programs across the state.
We want to thank the institutions that have already committed to being a My Texas Future institutional partner. We plan to officially launch My Texas Future statewide in April. We encourage you to join your fellow institutions before then, so you can take advantage of all this tool has to offer! Should you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Farcett Patrick, Program Manager for My Texas Future, at farcett.patrick@higered.texas.gov
