This event is held to educate the world about blindness and how the blind and visually impaired can live and work independently while giving back to their communities. TWC also participates in the White Cane Day March which starts at 9 a.m. at various locations. More information can be found at https://www.tsbvi.edu/events/white-cane-day-at-tsbvi-2.

The mission of White Cane Safety Day is to promote awareness and understanding of persons with vision loss and blindness who travel with the white cane, while celebrating their accomplishments and independence. The day also celebrates the abilities and successes achieved by people who are blind in a sighted world and honors their many contributions. Learn more at whitecaneday.org.
