The Texas Health and Human Services Commission Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (DHHS) will host an in-person listening session in Lubbock on August 5 to gather public input on all DHHS offerings and initiatives.
Members of the public are invited to share feedback on these DHHS Programs:
- Board for Evaluation of Interpreters Certification
- Camp Sign
- Certificate of Deafness for Tuition Waiver
- Communication Services for State Agencies
- Driver Identification Visor Card
- Last Resort Communication Services
- Resource Specialist Program
- Senior Citizens Program
- Specialized Telecommunications Assistance Program
- Training and Education
DHHS is especially interested in feedback from those belonging to one or more of the following groups:
- Individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH)
- American Sign Language interpreters and providers
- Program contractors and vendors for individuals who are DHH
- Members of the public who are associated with or support the DHH community
