More Time to Recognize Outstanding Texans

The deadline for the 2026 Lex Frieden Employment Awards has been extended to August 15, 2026 and we need your help identifying deserving nominees!

Do you know an employer, entrepreneur, volunteer or local disability organization making a meaningful difference for Texans with disabilities in the workplace or community? Take a few minutes to recognize their work by submitting a nomination.

The Governor’s Committee on People with Disabilities, in partnership with the Texas Workforce Commission, presents the Lex Frieden Employment Awards each year to celebrate individuals and organizations advancing employment opportunities for Texans with disabilities.

Even if you think someone else may nominate them, we encourage you to submit a nomination. Your nomination could help ensure their work receives the statewide recognition it deserves.
