One Week Left: Help Shape the Future of Disability Services in Texas

There is still time to make your voice heard.

The Texas State Independent Living Council (Texas SILC), in collaboration with the Governor's Committee on People with Disabilities (GCPD), invites Texans with disabilities, family members, and caregivers to complete the Statewide Disability Needs Survey before it closes on July 15.

Your feedback will help identify the priorities, barriers, and support needs of Texans with disabilities and will directly inform the next State Plan for Independent Living—a federally required plan that helps guide independent living services and supports across Texas.

The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete, is available in English and Spanish, is designed to be accessible, and all responses are anonymous. If you have not yet participated, now is the time. Please also consider sharing the survey with others who may wish to contribute their perspectives.

Survey results will be shared on the Texas SILC website https://txsilc.org/ and discussed in public meetings (upcoming meeting details can be found on the website). These discussions will provide additional opportunities for public input to help inform priorities.

Together, we can help ensure future policies, programs, and resources reflect the real experiences and needs of Texans with disabilities.
