Calling All Texas Artists

With over 100 film festivals all across Texas, there's never a bad time to submit your latest projects for inclusion. Here are just a few accepting entries right now:

  • South Texas International Film Festival: The South Texas International Film Festival is an annual celebration of the art of cinema and a competitive film festival that showcases the work of visionary filmmakers from all over the world. Their regular deadline to submit is March 31st.
  • Real East Texas Film Festival: Located in the heart of the East Texas Piney Woods, the Reel East Texas Film Festival is dedicated to showcasing independent filmmakers. Their early deadline to submit is February 11th, with a regular deadline on April 14th.
  • Hill Country Film FestivalA celebration of independent film, the Hill Country Film Festival screens over 85 independent films (short and feature-length) from Texas and around the world. Their regular deadline to submit is February 1st, with a late deadline of March 1st.
  • Thin Line FestThin Line Fest is the longest-running documentary film festival in Texas and includes a multi-genre, city-wide music festival and photography exhibition. Their extended deadline to submit is February 20th.
  • Austin Film FestivalKnown as the “Writers Festival” since its inception 31 years ago, Austin Film Festival recognizes the importance of narrative at the core of filmmaking. Their early deadline to submit is March 22nd, with a regular deadline on May 17th.
