It’s Flu Season – Help is Available for Texans with Disabilities.

If you are an older adult or have certain health conditions, you should ask your doctor if you should consider getting seasonal vaccinations and if some of those should be administered more than once a year.

If you want to get your updated vaccines for flu or any other seasonal conditions but are facing problems, Disability Rights Texas (DRTx) can help.

DRTx Vaccine Navigators can assist you for free in getting your vaccine by:

  • asking providers for reasonable accommodations (such as sign language, extended hours, etc.)
  • scheduling accessible transportation to locations
  • arranging for in-home vaccines
  • and more.

Contact the DRTx Vaccine Hotline Monday through Friday, 9 am to 4 pm, if you need any type of help getting vaccinated.

You can also get in touch with DRTx by email at: vaccine@DRTx.org

Need help setting up a vaccination clinic in your community? DRTx can help with that, too.

Visit DRTx's Protect your freedom webpage for more vaccine-related news and resources, including facts from trusted health sources about the vaccines.
