Dear Texas Travel Industry Stakeholders, Small Businesses & Economic Development Partners:

We would like to make you aware of important changes to the Texas Travel Industry Recovery Grant (TTIR) Program, administered through EDT's Economic Development Finance Division. In order to implement recent legislation, TTIR Program category 5 will close on July 21, 2023 at 5 p.m., Central Time. At that time, applications will no longer be accepted for category 5.

In accordance with Senate Bill 30, recently signed into law by Governor Greg Abbott following the 88th Legislative Session, each approved program applicant may now receive up to $250,000 in total from the TTIR Program. Therefore, EDT will be closing the current category in order to open a new application window with an anticipated opening date of September 1, 2023. You may sign up for direct notifications for this TTIR Program funding opportunity by clicking the link below, and our office will keep you updated as the new application window opens.

The TTIR Program was originally established by Senate Bill 8 and signed into law by the Governor following the 87th Legislative Session to administer $180 million of funds received from the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.

We greatly appreciate your help in sharing updates about this important resource and for supporting the continued recovery of the Texas travel, tourism and hospitality industries. If you have any questions, please visit the TTIR webpage or reach out to the TTIR Program staff by emailing tourismrecoverygrant@gov.texas.gov.

Thanks for all you do for the great state of Texas!

Sincerely,
