On the Road Again With the TFC

On the Road Collage

The TFC has been busy traveling far and wide since last you heard from us! Here are just a few of the places our intrepid staffers have made their way to recently:

  • Stephanie Whallon and Leigh Davis went all the way to Bogotá, Colombia (yes, you read that right) to attend the Association of Film Commissioners International's annual Cineposium.
  • Matt Miller, Michelle Habecker and Steven McCaig trekked down south to McAllen, where they hosted a Film Friendly Texas workshop for Rio Grande Valley communities.
  • Robert Rodriguez made his way up to Lubbock to meet with filmmakers and participate in a familiarization tour of the area.
  • Ali Nichols went to Fort Worth, where she hosted a presentation on the TFC's Media Production Development Zone Program at the 4th Annual Texas Sounds & Cities Conference.
  • Additionally, TFC staffers attended the Houston Cinema Arts CineSpace installation, the Association of Independent Commercial Producers Awards in Dallas and hosted a locations workshop for industry professionals in Kilgore.

We've got a few things in store for the near future, so keep your eyes peeled and stay tuned - we may just be in your neck of the woods next!
