Beat the Heat With a Drive-In Movie

Drive-In 2

You don't need a newsletter to know that it's hot out there, folks. If there's one thing that can take the edge off a hot summer day, it's a cool summer night. So why not stay cool in style and take in a flick at one of the fine drive-in theaters featured on our Drive-In Texas Film Trail?

From the Rio Grande Valley to the Panhandle and just about everywhere in-between, we've compiled more than fifteen different options for Texans looking to catch the latest blockbusters, classic hits, and more, from the comfort of their favorite ride.

On the Road Again with the TFC Staff

WITWTFC

We've recently shaken the dust off our boots and taken to the streets to see firsthand the great work being done in every single corner of the Lone Star State! Here are some highlights from the most recent TFC travels:

  • The entire TFC staff traveled to Parker, Texas, to host the first ever Film Friendly Texas Forum at the Southfork Ranch (and it was, we're pleased to announce, a roaring success).
  • Kim LeBlanc, Leigh Davis and Katie Kelly headed out to Fredericksburg to take part in the 13th annual Hill Country Film Festival.
  • Katie, Leigh, Robert Rodriguez (no, not that one - our Robert Rodriguez), Steven McCaig, Ali Nichols, Michelle Habecker, and Lindsey Ashley all attended screenings at the 24th annual Cine Las Americas International Film Festival in Austin.
  • Lindsey traveled to Amarillo to meet with area stakeholders and community partners who are creating new opportunities for media production in the Texas Panhandle.
  • Robert made his way to Dallas to attend the 11th annual Oak Cliff Film Festival.

Where will we be next? Keep your eyes on our TFC social media accounts and find out for yourself!
