Bryan Certified as a Music Friendly Community!


Governor Greg Abbott announced that the City of Bryan, having completed the multi-step certification process, has been designated as a Music Friendly Community by the Texas Music Office (TMO). On March 4th, TMO's Chip Adams (pictured above) joined Bryan Mayor Andrew Nelson (pictured above, center) and representatives of the Bryan music community for the certification celebration ceremony.

Our TMO-certified Music Friendly Community liaisons in El Paso are hosting a seminar on April 2, 2022 at Star City Studio featuring Texas Attorneys & Accountants for the Arts representative, Attorney Gwendolyn Seale, who will speak about what artists need to know about "Distributing, Administering & Monetizing Your Music". The free seminar will be livestreamed via ZOOM for anyone who can't attend in person.

Their featured guest is Rachel Stas Tax, who will be discussing all things taxes and how they pertain to musicians. The event is free for all and all are welcome.

McAllen Music Friendly Community Certification!


Join us on Thursday, April 7th at the Texas Music Office, McAllen Chamber of Commerce, Visit McAllen, and the City of McAllen celebrate the TMO designating and certifying McAllen as a Music Friendly Community. The celebration and certification ceremony takes place at McAllen Food Park from 8 - 10 p.m., featuring performances from Too Old Dudes, The Tod Show & The CAS Band.
