Entertainment and Sports Law Section of the State Bar of Texas Announce First Annual Lazzari Memorial Prize
The Entertainment and Sports Law Section of the State Bar of Texas is proud to announce the first annual law student writing competition for the Lazzari Memorial Prize. The Section will award the Lazzari Memorial Prize to the best student paper on one of the announced artist advocacy topics (listed via the link below). The Lazzari Memorial Prize is a $1,000 cash prize paid to the author and publication of the winning paper in the Texas Entertainment and Sports Law Journal.

The City of Austin Economic Development Department is now accepting applications for the Austin Music Disaster Relief Grant. The fund provides one-time, unrestricted $2,000 grants to local professional musicians, independent promoters, music composition, and music industry workers facing hardships due to the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Virtual Music Friendly Community Workshop - Grapevine
The Texas Music Office (TMO) and the Grapevine Convention & Visitor's Bureau will co-host a virtual Music Friendly Community workshop on Tuesday, February 15 at 6 pm CST. TMO Community Relations and Outreach Specialist Chip Adams will co-host the workshop via livestream to represent the TMO, answer questions, and speak about the Music Friendly Community program.

Tejano Music Awards Fan Fair will take place on March 17 – 20, 2022.
