Meet the West TX Panelists:

Lanitra

Lanitra Barringer is the Diversity/Inclusion Acquisition & Family Engagement Coordinator for Amarillo ISD. She creates family programs and supports students who intend on getting an Education degree after graduation. Lanitra is a long-time advocate of women creating their own success. In her free time, Lanitra mentors women in the community, launching outreach initiatives, and being an advocate for higher education.

Kelly

 

Kelly Davila is the Director of Regional Services & Economic Development for the South Plains Association of Governments (SPAG) and Caprock BFC. Kelly oversees several programs that serve the SPAG region as well as other parts of Texas, including the SBA 504 loan program, SPAG Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) program, SPAG COVID-19 specialty loan programs, South Plains Economic Development District (SPEDD), as well as traditional COG programs such as the Office of the Governor Public Safety Programs, Regional Transportation Coordination, Regional Solid Waste Management, Regional Water Planning and Grant Administration for rural cities and counties.

Christy

 

Christy Martinez-Garcia, a Lubbock native, developed her professional skills working in city government, private business, and the nonprofit industry and is a leader in the field of communications. In 2006, she founded Latino Lubbock Magazine, which averages about 100,000 readers monthly and can be found in Lubbock and 28 rural communities. She created the publication to centralize bilingual information and as a tool for dialogue and understanding for Lubbock. In 2009, she was recognized as Women in Small Business Champion from the SBA Northwest, which is recognized statewide and nationally. In 2019, she was selected nationally as Latina Publisher of the Year by the NAHP, to name a few.

Polly

 

Polly Vann began her early environmental career in the power industry before moving into manufacturing and textiles. In 1993, Ms. Vann established V-tech Environmental Services. As the business emerged from a shoe-string, start-up company to a sustainable entrepreneurial enterprise, Polly moved the business from her home to an executive suite in Lubbock, Texas. V-tech Environmental Services is a two- time recipient of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Blue Ribbon Small Business Award in Washington D.C. in 2009 and 2011. V-tech was also recognized by the Governor’s Small Business Forums State of Texas Small Business Award Winner in 2013.

Jenneviere

Jenneviere Villegas has been involved in commerce for over 15 years, diving into everything from sourcing and manufacturing, operations, pop-up events, retail management, ecommerce, organic social media marketing, and everything in between. At Shopify, she works in merchant engagement in the US, and she has two of her own Shopify stores on the side. She’s passionate about helping entrepreneurs and brands succeed.
