October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) and as part of the celebrations the Governor's Committee on People with Disabilities (GCPD) and the Texas Workforce System are collaborating to bring you a fantastic new webinar series. These four webinars will cover topics like hiring and retaining employees with disabilities, resources available to aid Texans in their job search, and the role played by the Vocational Rehabilitation program. Read on for more information about each session and don't forget to register! As always, real time captioning and sign language interpreters will be provided for all sessions. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has brought unprecedented challenges to the Texas workforce. The Texas Workforce Commission, the statewide network of Workforce Development Boards, and a wide array of industry and education organizations continue to work to assist Texans who have lost their job due to the pandemic. TWC’s Office of Employer Initiatives is leading the response with several training initiatives aimed at helping the Texas workforce acquire new skills.
