The Governor's Committee on People with Disabilities (GCPD) invites you to join us for an emergency preparedness webinar session on April 1st, 2020 at 11:00 AM. |
Community preparedness planning for COVID-19 should include older adults and people with disabilities as well as the organizations that support them. This webinar will give an overview of how best to include people with disabilities in emergency preparedness, as well as provide information on resources for people in the community.
Presenters: Dr. Laura Stough, Assistant Director at the Center on Disability and Development; Dr. Tracie Harrison, Professor at the School of Nursing at the University of Texas at Austin and Executive Director of the Center for Excellence in Aging Services and Long Term Care; Dr. Amy Sharp, Executive Director at the Texas Center for Disability Studies; and Emily Wolinsky, Founder and Executive Director of NMD United.
