The Texas Music Office and the City of Waxahachie will co-host a Music Friendly Community workshop on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 4 pm. The workshop is open to anyone interested in learning about the new Texas Music Office program that seeks to foster music business economic development in Texas cities and communities.

Artist Tim Wakefield Brings Music and Art Together For Philathropy Around The World
Visual artist / Soundwaves Art Foundation founder Tim Wakefield has raised more then $2 million for charities around the world with his singular soundwaves art, but now he's bringing his philanthropy to his newly adopted Central Texas home with his newest project, W’ALL Austin. An ever-evolving art park and music installation located at Mosaic Sound Collective, W'ALL Austin opens to the public on November 16 with its official launch during this year’s East Austin Studio Tour. We recently spoke with Wakefield about the new project and how he uses his unique soundwaves art in collaboration with musicians, giving them a platform to galvanize their fans to support charitable causes.

31st Annual Dallas Observer Music Awards Set For Dec. 10
The Dallas Observer has announced that their first lifetime achievement award recipient will be Erykah Badu, who will be attending the Dallas Observer Music Awards ceremony on Dec. 10 and receiving the award from hip-hop legend The D.O.C. Before the awards ceremony, the Observer will also host their yearly music festival in Deep Ellum on Saturday, Dec. 7 featuring more than 40 DFW-based bands playing showcases at multiple venues.
