Music Friendly Community Workshop in San Angelo
Governor Greg Abbott announced a Music Friendly Community workshop scheduled for Thursday, January 10, in San Angelo. The workshop, co-hosted by the Texas Music Office and Discover San Angelo, is open to anyone interested in learning about the new Texas Music Office program that seeks to foster music business economic development in Texas cities and communities. Brendon Anthony, director of the Texas Music Office within the Office of the Governor’s Economic Development Division, will be present to explain the Music Friendly Community designation and answer questions.

For the third year in a row, we reached out to the Texas record stores in our Texas Music Industry Directory to learn what some of their top selling LPs from Texas artists were in 2018.
 American Music Abroad Deadline Approaching
In cooperation with the U.S. Department of State, American Voices arranges 2-3 week long, multi-country cultural exchange tour programs for artists...including public concerts, interactive performances with local traditional musicians, lecture demonstrations, workshops, jam sessions and media interviews and performances. Application deadline is January 20, 2019.
