Updates to our Economic Impact page
Since 2015, the TFC has been under Economic Development and Tourism within the Office of the Governor. Since then, we have continued to educate our communities about the vital impact that our industries have in Texas, and we continue to update our website with tools for the industry and community at large. As such, we will be updating our Economic Impact page in January 2019.

Texas Production Directory
As one of the most-visited parts of our website, the directory is a free, public marketing service used daily by producers, video game companies and industry professionals to search for crew and support services needed. If you are part of the Texas media industry, please list yourself or update your listing.
Legislative Session begins next month
The 86th Legislative Session will begin on January 8, 2019. Since the Texas Legislature meets biennially, state-elected officials will make decisions on the next two years of budgeting for the state. Later, committee appointments will be made. The Senate Finance and House Appropriations Committees will review final budget requests (“Appropriations Requests”) and a budget will be decided by the time session ends on May 27, 2019. We will be changing our newsletter publication to a monthly schedule during legislative session in order to provide updated information.
