NYFA Filmmaking Master Class for Veterans
In April, we partnered with the New York Film Academy, Texas Veterans Commission and City of Austin to bring the NYFA Filmmaking Master Class to Austin. The free workshop offered Texas veterans and their dependents an introduction to the film industry, and we spoke to attendees about our services including our Job Hotline and more.
FFTX Presentation in Denton & Workshop in Plainvew
In April, we presented Denton with their Film Friendly Texas designation at a local film fest. We also brought our Film Friendly Texas (FFTX) Workshop to Plainview, where local representatives took the first step in becoming Film Friendly certified.

Texas Productions Shine at Local & International Festivals
From Cannes in France to Tribeca in New York to back home in the Lone Star State with the Dallas International Film Festival and others, there has been no shortage of Texas talent showcased at international festivals. Texas-made features, shorts, and even VR made an impact during this spring's festival season.
Meeting Crew & Vendors at the Texas Production Expo
At the Texas Production Expo in Grapevine, we connected directly with over 200 DFW-area crew and vendors. Attendees learned about our programs and services, and created new listings in our Texas Production Directory - a free resource used daily to recruit Texas crew and businesses for production.
