economic development opportunities with the thousands of music business professionals from around the world that descend on Austin.
TMO at UTSA Music Biz Day
On Saturday, April 7, the Texas Music Office joins the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) for their 3rd annual Music Biz Day. The free event connects students and the general public with music business professionals from around the state.

Texas Women's Hall of Fame Accepting Nominations
The Texas Governor’s Commission for Women is accepting nominations for the Texas Women’s Hall of Fame through their deadline on April 27. Nominations are open to any native or current residents of Texas, living or deceased, who have made significant contributions to the State of Texas. Previous music-related inductees include Margaret Pease Harper, Selena Quintanilla, and Lydia Mendoza.
