September Newsletter Header

With summer behind us, September also means the start of a new fiscal year. Here are just a few of our accomplishments from the past year:

  • Over 300 Texas crew members and businesses listed in the Texas Production Directory and nearly 500 industry opportunities were listed on Job Hotline! Both of these services are among our most visited pages on our website.
  • In July, we launched our new-and-improved website, which is responsive to mobile devices and accessible for screen readers for the visually impaired.
  • Our production team scouted over 100 locations across the state.
  • Our Film Friendly Texas Workshop in Waco brought over 40 members from communities across Texas. The program continues to garner interest among filmmakers and local leaders, and we look forward to our next workshop this fall.
  • Texas projects began and ended production, while also making premieres. Nat Geo's The Long Road Home shot at Fort Hood earlier this year; USA's Queen of the South wrapped Season 2 in the Dallas area; AMC's The Son wrapped last fall and made a successful debut on AMC; two TV pilots shot across Texas and Dallas; and indie features like A Ghost Story, Discreet, Mr. Roosevelt, and countless more continue to make their way into movie theaters around the world.

With nearly 7K subscribers, the TFC newsletter, "Now Showing" continues to grow since its debut in July 2016. We look forward to continue updating you on everything related to the moving image industries of Texas & our office.
