The Texas Music Office is very
proud to work with the hundreds upon hundreds of individuals and organizations
that have contacted us during the last week, reaching out to help their fellow
Texans after the devastation of Hurricane Harvey on communities throughout the
Gulf Coast, East Texas, Central Texas, and beyond.
This
edition of our newsletter is focused specifically on Hurricane Harvey relief. We
are working with promoters and venues across the state who are organizing
benefits, large and small, and below you’ll see information about just a
portion of the benefits around the state that have been confirmed at the time of
publication. Please stay tuned to the News section of texasmusicoffice.com – and to our Facebook, Twitter & Instagram pages – for continual updates on Hurricane Harvey benefit
concerts and relief events happening in your area.
Texans helping Texans, as
exemplified by our generous and talented music community banding together
during difficult times, is one of the many things that makes Texas so great. We
thank you again for your willingness to volunteer to help during this trying
time as we all pitch in to help rebuild Texas.
Sincerely,
Brendon Anthony, Director Texas Music Office, Office of the Governor
